Bandwidth limiting T amp

Hello all,

I am putting together a system in which I would like to use a T amp to
power horn loaded Fostex FE166E's from around 400 HZ up. I have modded the
T amp as per Panomaniac's directions and am wondering if it is possible to change the value of the input capacitor to cause the amp to act as a high pass filter?

Thanks

Yes it is!

For 400 Hz and up, try a 0.06uF cap. That will give you a -3dB point of about 110Hz. That sould block some bass but not hurt you mids.

You could try an octave higher, about 220Hz, which would be a 0.033 (33nF) cap. As long as it doesn't change your crossover slope too much, you should be OK.

Thank you kind sir!

I am building a "simple" two way with Focal 13V's in transmission line cabinets handling the bass and the aforementioned t-amp driving the Fostex drivers. I hope to have it up and running within the next week and will post pictures.

Thanks again,

M Vaughn
