Hi all, Im contemplating building a T-amp or something. Im going to hook it up to my PC, with sound blaster audigy 2ZS fiber optic out.
And was wondering if anyone has added a fiber optic input to their amp yet? Great site this is BTW |

This would imply also building a DAC part besides the amp, to convert the digital optical to analog for the amps. Head off to the digital forum and research in there...

I'm in the same situation, also want to use digital TOSlink from a PC.
I've been reading around, and decided on the DDDAC which seems to have good recommendation as a DIY-beginner-DAC-project here, so I've just ordered it. The total cost for a kit, power supply excluded (you can just buy a simple 12v-powersupply and later build one yourself) is about $300. Standard kit includes coax SPDIF, but you can just ask him for optical SPDIF instead. www.dddac.de |
