Nice amp!
I have a sort-of Amp9 (audiodigit mc4x100). I use several different type batteries (als two in series). Use 2x12 volt ni-cad 6A home-made packs (very fast charge "Saft" cells). Or 2x 12volt 12A SLA batteries. Funny thing is that power went out in my appartement building, neighbours asked how my music could still be playing (was useing my i-pod then). My amp delivers 4 times 40 watts and therefore very suitable for bi-amping. Most components are through-hole type. Must complement you on your soldering skills doing a surface-mount amp!
