I cannot belive this. I placed an order to LC audio for Zapplause 700xe in Janurary this year.
There has been no reply with zillions of email about the progress. The product has never been delivered and the now the model is scrapped. Today I receive an invoice from LCaudio claiming that I have not paid them. I am furious. |

Mister, if you really have paid them, something may have gone wrong so why wait until now? If payment hasn't gone through in a week, something IS wrong.
My advice is to check: 1 Has money been drawn from your account? 2 To which bank acount went them 3 Was it LC Audios? Before you are accusing LCAudio for fraud make sure they really ought to have them. How many emails have you sent them? Are you sure they went to the right place? Never thought of calling them?

I guess I just assumed he'd done all that already. Good points though.
There's been too many incompetent horror stories with LCaudio lately, makes it too easy to believe. Still don't think they'd intentionally rip anyone off. Do as Peranders recommended, deal with them, let us know how you made out. |

Guys, whilst I appreciate your frustrations, we do have to be a little careful here in making accusations. If lawyers get involved, one ill- considered post could get diyAudio shut down, and I'm sure none of us want that. We're not trying to shut down the topic, but I would ask posters to be circumspect. Thanks.

If that's at all a risk I dont' think anyone would mind or blame you for editing or deleting what you have to!
If that happened I'd be homeless

Sidestory:
Someone in Australia placed an order for a power amplifier input/output board at an online audio parts store here in Holland in 2005. He has paid for the board, and it wasn't cheap as it's stuffed with Wima caps and Burr Brown opamps because it can be switched to balanced input. The board never got there and he had trouble communicating with the store, so he asked for help here at diyA. I live 5 miles from the "shop" and offered my assistance. The board has been sent twice to Australia and returned to The Netherlands twice, apparantly because Aussie mail can or will not deliver it. For months i've tried to phone the store without succes. A couple of weeks ago i went overthere, managed to talk to the owner, and returned home with the US $200 board. It has been close to a year ago that the rightfull owner ordered this board and paid for it, we are now contemplating how i'll manage to get the board delivered to him for real. I've had a talk with the shop owner for about an hour, and i was really impressed by his electronics knowledge, entrepeneural skills and attitude. I'm probably also one of few who managed to speak to the Schuro shop owner, i also jabbed his head off for a couple of hours when i visited his store(storage) in Germany. There have also been people posting complaints on Schuro. I haven't had any dealings with LCaudio yet but i have the impression many overestimate the size of these businesses. Because their operation is so small the scale of their service is often bigger than you would receive from big companies. I had no problem receiving a $200 board just by mentioning the name of a bloke in the Western Australian desert. |

Even if you do ordering can be a problem
Shuro is not a large business and their reputation for quality components is quite good, however, they are limited in handling orders. I found out the hard way when I tried to place an order for several hundred € and they replied that they could not take it because they were overloaded. But: al least I was told and I could choose to find alternatives.
