Default UcD: feedback signal

in the original UcD, the feedback is a voltage signal post the filter. Is it possible to feedback something else? for example, what about the current going throught the inductor? or the capacitor? or the speaker/loan? it can be done via a small sensing resistor, or a little coil around the inductor.

feeding back a current has the added advantage of acting as an overcurrent protection. but I don't know if it would have any practical implication on sound quality.

has anyone done that?
