I need a quick piece of advice...

I am building various prototype loudspeakers, not in pairs, one example of a given configuration at a time - and testing them on my UCD's.

Their impedences don't necessarily match - they're all in the stable range (4 ohms or above) - but not exactly the same.

For example I'm now running a 5 driver floorstander @ 4 ohms on one channel and a 3 driver D'Ap design at 5.33 ohms on the other.

Is this unhealthy for the UCD?

I know it isn't optimal for testing the loudspeakers (no match and all) but that's of small concern.

I'm curious what this impedence mismatch on the UCD channels is doing to the amp.

Any opinions?

Thanks and regards,
Tom
