Hello all.
Just for my reference and curiosity. What is the idle power consumption of several Class-D modules? I mean during power-on with no signal (not in shutdown mode) Hypex UCD400 says around 8W at +/-65V, for UCD700 that's around 15W with +/-90V rails, but have no data about ZAPPulse, etc. Anyone can help? |

Our coldamp BP4078 modules, when connected with the main supply only (no external gate or modulator voltage), lose around 10W at +/-60V rails, less with lower voltage, obviously. At that voltage they can output around 700W at 2 ohm.
You can reduce around 3W with external +/-12V for the modulator, and another 3W if you feed the gate driver externally too. Shutdown power consumption is around 5W. Hope this helps. |
