Well, they sound better than the standard Hypex PS. Difficult to explain the difference: you just have to hear it.
Have you seen the MinimonO at www.speakerworld.nl ? (>shop>speakerworld) It takes you a step further soundwise. |

Maybe you should send him a mail. I'm not certain but I heard him talk about a more powerfull version with the UcD400AD. You can always ask him if his plans are going to happen in the near future. By the way... I have heard the MinimonO and it sounds better than my UcD400AD with simple Power Supply. Sounds promising if Speakerworld would also sell the UcD400AD.

Without an attempt to thread-jacking I have a question concerning the UCD400AD used with the UCD Supply HG, which I hope someone can answer.
The UCD Supply HG can be used to supply two UCD400 modules. I want to use it with one UCD400 module. Does this mean that the power supply module is only used partially?

More or less... It works fine with one HG supply per UcD. It also works fine with 2 UcD's
I guess it is up to you if you want to spend the money for another HG supply and another transformer... |

As a matter of fact I plan to build two UCD400AD mono-amps.
My only concern is the possible waste when only using half the power supply. My idea was to look for a tweak which enables the UCD Supply HG to be used at it's full capacity for just one UCD module. Any suggestions?

I know, but guess I'd better look for an alternative, because leaving half the power supply just sitting there unused is an even greater waste, right?
