Default New D-amp idea

I have dumped the other one with TL494 and came up with a new idea based on nitrate´s Madamp2 but modified to work with a gate driver.

This is what i was thinking about: http://user.faktiskt.se/Tekko_Tubeam...amp2%20alt.JPG Suggestions are welcome.

The link is wrong, the files on the server are PNG.

Also, do you really feel skilled enough to modify other's people work without having even tried the original version first?

I spotted a problem in the design already, both signals to the fets are the same in phase, unless his discrete circuit has one inverting input but i doubt that as both look identical.

I have contacted him but i dont expect an answer as he havent been around since he posted his thread several months ago.

And no i dont feel skilled enuf, but u gotta do it if u wanna learn anything.

What do you think ? Actuallt i kinda doubt that my modded version will work, it is too darn simple

First out on the testbench is this: http://user.faktiskt.se/Tekko_Tubeam...mp2%20alt2.PNG

Tho i dunno which of the channels that should have the inverter on it, but trial and error to find out.

Hi Tekko,

You don't need to use Nitrate's circuit. It is funny, because Nitrate's circuit are unique and your modification result make the circuit as very common non discrete class-D.

Yup. I have abandoned the idea with tl494 but i am hooking it up with a CD4069UBC hex inverter (not a scmitt trigger but ledmania prolly used what he had laying around) to see if the delay of that could actually have made it work properly, or if it had to do with the scmitt trigger hysteris.

Now it runs nice and cool, but it needs a real speaker with a crossover to work

The fets stay cool but the output inductor heats up.
