Charlize Mods?

Hey All

About to try one of these out...and was wondering what kind of mods people can recommend (output caps, etc.).

Check the Tripath Wiki. Main things to play with are power supply, input caps, solidcore -> aircore inductors. From my understanding, the most important mod would be switching to aircore inductors (if you didn't get them) because they are technically superior for the low pass filter which is critical for class D amplifier performance. After that, I'd say try messing with the power supply. Try battery, smps, or whatever. However, I'd say unless the power supply you're using is really bad, you won't hear much of a difference between them. The remaining mods are much more subtle.

Thanks Brent! I've got a Clari-T now with Auricap output caps. Just wondering how a Charlize would sound with maybe Auricaps or perhaps V-Caps.

I would definitely order it with the aircore inductors. Definitely worth the extra $10!
