charlize/Monica2 impedence issue

Hi there,

thinking of a summer project, and the diyparadise Charlize amp and Monica2 DAC look interesting. They'd be driving Norh speakers (90db).

But I've been reading about impedance issues between the Monica2 and the Charlize, and that a buffer/pre is recommended....

So would something like a Tubalizer
do the trick? The advantage is that the whole system could be run off batteries....

forgot to add that the buffer would go between the DAC and a volume pot before the amp....

Hi ssmith,
The issue was some find the output level is a bit low. A line-stage with a bit of gain should do the trick. Check out on Yeo's
web-page on a solution....
