I have had this amplifier sitting under my bed for awhile now, because it no longer works. I had it bench tested and was told that it needed a new IC or CI circuit? It was a long time ago, I forget what it actually was called. It does power on, but no sound is produced. If you would have touched the speaker terminals, the sub would bottom out real quick. I was quoted $225 to have it fixed. Does it really cost that much, and what is this IC or CI circuit? Thanks alot.

If dx700 just a lower version of sx1250, then dx700 contain IC<$.3 only. However two of these U12&U14, renamed to F16&B52 (old names CD6040&LM361M is rubed). So if it's a kind of the bodyart, well, $225 not so much expensive, and now i can understand why kicker rename the IC's.

I don't really understand what you are trying to explain to me. I don't anything about the internals of amps or how anything works. I guess there isnt a way to explain it so I can understand, other than its broken. Sorry, I'm new.
