You gotta start somewhere! Anyone is capable of building a circuit like this. Just take your time. It's fun... really it is

I prefer either my circuit or the one Micheal posted over switching a resistor in and out of the power lead, but it does work and is simple to implement. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
