FYI,
UCD700AD is reviewed in Finnish hifi magazine 'Hifilehti'. Very shortly, listener found sound clear, open, quite transparent but sometimes bit hard and "sterile". Points given from overall sound quality is 8,3. Best commercial amps around 500€ has got even better points. Reviewer was one of the most experienced and appreciated reviewer in Finland. Measurements are quite same than in Hypex specifications. Setup was separate mono amps using Hypex UCD700 power supply.

One thing about measurements.
Measured power consumption without signal was 38W and with 10W/channel output power 55W. So efficiency is not good in low output power. Why?

Hi Pasi,
The UcD700 runs off of ~90V rails, with a 90% efficiency you still dissipate quite a few watts more than a UcD180 with ~45V rails. Best regards, Sander Sassen http://www.hardwareanalysis.com
