Cool Website is Up

genomerics.org

OK, it's just starting..... and will take some time. I got rid of the Tripod one and the Yahoo Group, sorry about that.

This one's in the attic at home. Assuming I've got the server switched on then you can have a look. Hope it is or becomes of some use/interest.

Cheers

Sorry I dunno if its cause its new but..

The GO button links for "Switch Mode Power Supplies Offline Conversion" and "Class D Amplifiers" appear broken and the "Switch Mode Power Supplies Average Current Mode Control of a Buck Converter" and "Switch Mode Power Supplies Adding the Voltage Loop" links both point to the same page.

Nice start. Looks like it'll be a good source of reference.

Ultimately I do intend to 'go for it'.

All this theory type stuff is part of things leading up to the implementation. I'd rather build something I understood.

Smile Website is Updated

The first two sections are now in place and I've changed the front page a little bit. Hopefully it's not too confusing but I might implement a Question Answer and Clarification page. Don't forget you can download some of the simulation circuits by clicking on the LT logo.

Thanks for looking.

Smile Website is Updated... again.

The third section dealing with offline conversion is in place. I'm afraid I've wandered about a bit but hopefully you'll see what's going on.

Cheers

OK, that's been a necessary diversion to find out where I was going wrong. Seriously, I could have done it on the quiet and just given the 'aint it wonderful version' or just ignored things.
Hi DNA,

This is an excellent approach and I find makes it a far more interesting and informative read. Looking forward to following the rest of it, and giving what's already there a more careful read too. Keep it up!

Thanks for having a look and your replies to 'The Board'.

There is now an e-mail link on the front page so if you want to contact me directly and hurl abuse in my direction then it would be appreciated. The same applies to anyone else.

I'm not sure if that might upset the board owners/users but it seems to make sense to keep stuff here to a minimum.. Having said that I feel a bit of guilt about the 'advertising'.

You'll get a message from the auto-responder thing first but I'll give any suggestions/criticisms or comments a read and see how I might improve things.

I might set up a page and, unless people request that I don't, I'll put the messages up along with my attempt to respond to them. It's not a place where I want to get into heavy discussions though.

Having said that the website is a sort of free form thing so once I've written something there isn't much editing that goes on, other than catching spurling mistooks.

I know I'm missing bits as I go along so if anyone wants me to try and make something make more sense then please ask.

Obviously you know you will be wasting your time because 'Making Sense' are not my two middle names.

Cheers

Smile Website is updated again

genomerics.org

I've finished the section that deals with theory stuff about switch mode power supplies. It's, sort of, stable. Well, I might still read through it and.... but it's basically there.

Anyway now I can move on to Class D amplifiers.

Cheers
