No offer from my part unless you want to ship it to Belgium.
Any chance you could tackle the job yourself. After all this is 'the' Diy-site.
What's wrong with it? Not that I know the 2020.

It doesn't make a sound, this was after i installed two 2200uf obligatto capacitors. It did work for a short time but a capacitor leg detached from the PCB when it was moved, i re soldered but it hasn't worked since.

I have tried to find the problem but after playing around with a oscilloscope for a few hours I'm non the wiser..and my soldering skills are terrible.

Well yes, you could be right. It's perhaps better to practice first instead of trying something you feel you can't handle.

Hi,

The schematic is shown on page 8. Referring to this diagram where did you fit the 2200uf capacitors ? Although there is no sound at the output did you see any high frequency oscillation on the 'scope ?

Regards,

Jon

If these are C4 and c7 then they have to be installed the correct way round. Have you done this?

the caps are fitted where the two largest circles are.

the 'scope is probably setup wrong but it just showed random looking lines when the the contacts were first touched, then just a straight line higher up the y-axis showing what i presume is the voltage.

edit: just saw trebla's post,

there are no markings on the obligattos but the amp did work perfectly before it was moved so i presume it was ok? Also I have switched back to the original caps for testing.

Ok. So the Obligatos are film caps and not directional.
Do you think that the pcb track may have got damaged when you swapped caps?
I would check each joint carefully with a magnifying glass for signs of damage.
Check that you haven't inadvertantly spread solder onto another joint. Then briefly touch every joint on the pcb with a soldering iron (just enough to to melt the solder) in case you have a dry join somewhere.
If you could give a bit more detail of what you did before the amp stopped working, that may help!
