I've missed a lot of the UCD discussions but am now interested in experimenting with the modules.
I've skimmed through the threads but still don't know who sells the modules besides DIYCable.com. If anyone can provide some brief information regarding vendors and module options, I would appreciate it. Also, is it the case that the UCD400 is superior to the UCD180? I have to do more research, of course, but a brief primer would be most welcomed. Thanks, KT |

Hypex sell the modules direct if you want. I too would be interested to know if there is an assortment of vendors as well as any discounts in prices. With a technology that moves so quickly I would be happy to pay a little more to ensure a current production version though.
Chris was kind enough to comment on the sonic differences between the 180 and the 400. Sounds like the 400 has the edge over the 180. hopr this is of some assistance. Regards Moray James.

Hi,
Keep in mind that's just a guess on my part based on the different components/circuitry.. I've yet to hear a 400, but can tell you a 180 can be very impressive. Regards, Chris |

I get the impression that you have a handle on this switching stuff. I would be happy with your nod. I hope that I can soon be in a position to hear both the 180 and the 400. This will be fun as There will be by that time both the Ref 8 and 9's in town to compare too (NuForce). Thanks again regards Moray James.
