Dear All,

This is my 13x discrete class-d schematic. I works at simulation with no strange although the resistor value seem too small.

Please give me advice for the following problems:

1. My LTSpice have no applicable library for this cicruit.
2. The output voltage is -400mV at zero input.
3. Can the gate mosfet work properly? I am wory about Zener speed.
4. Any ideas for better result?

Please.... and thanks in advance,
kartino

Simulation 2V f=20K

This is simulation for input=2V f=20K,

But again, I have experience with DIY-UCD, that simulation result might be different at real circuit. I blew lot of Mosfet before get better result. Problems such as distortion, heat, stability, etc.

Hello Kartino.

You've gone to some effort here. It nearly works very well.

1. Since they don't have a model of it you need to include it.
Click on edit, click on "Spice Directive", paste this in without the quotes:

".model 2N5551 NPN(Is=2.511f Xti=3 Eg=1.11 Vaf=100 Bf=242.6 Ne=1.249
+ Ise=2.511f Ikf=.3458 Xtb=1.5 Br=3.197 Nc=2 Isc=0 Ikr=0 Rc=1
+ Cjc=4.883p Mjc=.3047 Vjc=.75 Fc=.5 Cje=18.79p Mje=.3416 Vje=.75
+ Tr=1.202n Tf=560p Itf=50m Vtf=5 Xtf=8 Rb=10)
* Fairchild pid=16 case=TO92
* 88-09-07 bam creation"

and then stick it someplace on the schematic.

2. That is too much offset of course. I just played with it for two hours and cant' figure out where it's comming from. I suspect the whole thing to be too susceptible to value and tolerance changes, but this of course has nothing to do with the simulation.

4. That's some pretty original stuff there in some places.. it works OK considering.

Chris

Hello Chris,

Nice to see you, finally I have my own schematic and my own thread. I like totem-pole PNP/NPN because the driver does not need continous charging, and easy to discharge. That is why I interested to use the type of mosfet driver. I also like simpler circuit, and the discrete feedback class-d amplifier are very simple, but lot of things to play. Every DIY-er can make it.

For 2N5551 is already at library as standard bjt, isn't?

I still have problem for mosfet library, any example to create Spice directive?

Thanks you,
Kartino
