Amp Turns on and off whats wrong??

my amp turns on and off but dont stay on when i hook it up the power led not the protect light comes on and off but when i hook subs to it when the led powers it pushes the subs and then turn off when the led turns back off can any1 help me figure this so i can fix it thanx
