Because, if you want to use a NOS DAC in the future, a better option for the stepped attenuator would be 25K.

Actually i've bought a NOS DAC, the DAC AH.
Are you meaning that my configuration is not suitable for that?

The NOS DACs like to work into a higher impedance than 10K. At least 20K is recommended, hence a 25K attenuator is the one to go for.

I contacted diyfidelity and they told me that the goods will be posted tomorrow, i've had the time to switch 10K to 25K!!!!

I just finished my first poo by myself!!

I bought my first one from a guy already completed so this was the first amp ive made myself.Have to say it was quite easy

I dont have a cap between the PS and charlize with the new one. There was a massive 10000uf cap on the other one. As noted by others a big difference with bass.. Amazing the way one little change of a cap can imapct the sound so much..

Im using the two charlizes biamped with my just arrived ming da mc3 preamp...Im really chuffed with the sound
