perhaps there should be a DIYAUDIO event at the AES "Efficient Audio Power Amplification" seminar in early September --

Have you seen the attendance fees? For that money, a diy'er can buy a pair of modules from each supplier and have his own private get-together a bit less social thojackinnj said:perhaps there should be a DIYAUDIO event at the AES "Efficient Audio Power Amplification" seminar in early September
An alternative option would be (but it's a bit late to organise that now), a kind of parallel get-together to coincide with or follow directly upon this event, in a location close-by.
Such a thing has been happening in Las Vegas every CES, where a parallel show "T.H.E. Show" is run on the same dates, in walking distance from the Alexis Park resort where the high-end part of CES is held.

Anyone who goes to Vegas from Germany for a hi-fi show is truely dedicated.

Ahh... never mind - I should have paid attention to the first post (and link).

My point is that the conference would have been a good excuse for an informal get-together of the class d DIY community, but that it would be a bit out of place in the actual AES conference, if only because of the attendance fees that would keep hobbyists away.
(That said, Hypex will be present, obviously)
