Default To standby or not to standby......

......that is the question!

I was just wondering about the pros and cons of putting modules into 'standby' vs turning them fully off.

I think the general concensus is to turn the amps fully off to prolong the life of components....but I ask because I have seen some commercial class 'd' offerings where the only option you have after you plug your power cable in is 'standby/on'...so, how bad can it be?

Any thoughts guys? Jan-Peter, Lars?

Thanks for your time...

Dave
