Hi,
I am still working on my 5 channel amp. It turned out that all the stuff will not fit in the enclosure I purchased. So I decided to put just one power supply in. For now that means only one 500VA transformer, but if I feel after listening that that is not enough I will get a 1000VA instead. I left room for such a transformer. Two 500VA's with their rectifiers and caps simply won't fit. So I have a spare 500VA transformer, rectifier and two BC 10.000uF caps. I find the soldering of wires to the rectifiers not a simple task by the way. And how do you let one supply go to 5 UcD400 modules? I use things that are used in house-electricity situations, in which you stick wire that automatically gets stuck. It's probabely not high end (not even copper), but I have no alternative at the moment. I'll try to make some pictures in the near future. Frans |

JP,
I planned to connect the five /ON's of my amp to a switch and the other side to ground. Is that a problem? Frans |

OK, I know I am off topic, but if anyone does want the 1U zappulse amp, then please contact me offlist at: edward (at) wildgooses dot com.
It has a single LCaudio powersupply, twin 42v 200va transformers, softstart and dc filter. WBT terminals and balanced inputs. The power supply input filter has Y caps and almost certainly needs to be swapped for one without. These are brutally powerful amp modules. |

Hello everyone and Jan-Peter,
I am building my UCD400 now and need a decent PSU. Since Schuro is very slow and not answering my emails - does anyone have an idea where to get two high-end transformers? I want to build my monoblocks with 2x10.000uF 63V Jensen 4-pole caps, bridge rectifier, Wima and Mundorf caps for HF filtering. I would appreciate if someone could sell me PSU parts or tell me where to get them in Europe. Thanks, Michael |

Does anyone know if the people at Schuro speak english? I also have tried e-mailing them with no success. Or does anyone know where a person could find a nice high end power supply pcb, comparable to the Schuro power pack nt-ewww.schuro.de
