hi there,
i'm thinking about buying a couple of zap-pulse modules from lc-audio. Has any of you guys tried them and, if yes, what do you think? And, does anybody know the difference between the normal and -SE version? Couldn;t find it at their site (www.lcaudio.dk). Unfortunately, some pages haven;t been translated into english (yet). Thanks, /matt |

The SE-version has blackgate caps in the output filter. AFAIK that's the only difference between the two versions (but I might be wrong on this) Send an email to LC audio with your questions or wait for Lars to pop by here and answer them

And actually the SE version does NOT use Black Gate VK caps anymore but Vishay series RLI136.

charles,
i have used the search button and most of the threads contained little useful information. no more than 'why don't they respond to email' , 'sounds pretty good to me' or 'sounds boring'. Plus that most of the replies are about the 2.1 version, not the current 2.2 ... So, if anyone else has anything to say about the lc audio zap pulse (2.2!) modules, go ahead. Any dutch guys around who have an lc-pulse based amp laying around?I have a prototype digital class d amp here, borrowed from pitch254, and the thing outperforms anything i've heard so far. Not that i've heard everything, but still. |

thanks for the link. I didn;t know they made full range amps, i thought hypex only did plate amps for use in active subs.
