Class-T with Tubes?

Has anyone tried to use class-T technology with tubes as the power output devices? It dosn't seem that there should be anything wrong with this idea except for the power limitation.

Hi !

I believe that it's pointless to try tubes as outputdevices in a PWM
design. As the outputdevices are switches only, you have no
audiophile advantage from tubes. This means, it only matters
how fast these devices can switch. Class-D designs with tubes
have been tried in the 50s/60s, and discarded because these had
even worse efficiency then analog designs.

Thanks for your thoughts. Where did you find the info for the circuits using tubes? I'd like to take a closer look and see what their results were and maybe if using some of the new chips might improve things.
