Hi ALL
I want to create D class amp by my circuit (see attach.) But there are 2 questions: 1)What about output FETs & driver? Will it work under 100 kilohertz? 2) What is the best way to make PWM controller? P.S. This will be powerful (900w) amp for subwoofer. |

IMHO, H-bridge with 4*irf540n(or irfb52n15 for HUGE power) will be better and cheaper. The best modulator is UcD indeed, or a SODA fashion (which used by me for subamp also).

And driver too. Try the search for "UcD"(22 threads):

As I understand IRF540n better, cause QG=47.3,and it is the main problem of IRFP260n?
And driver too. Try the search for "UcD"(22 threads): Thanks About your AMP. I calculate that the power is about Pout~=600w @2 Ohm, or more - is it true? I = P/U = SQRT(P/R)=17A Ptemp=Pout*(1-n/100)=600*0.06=36w So what about heatsinks. Can I try your amp, because I have already spent a lot of money for my variants of D-class AMP

More powerful driver such as ir2184 should be working well with irfp260 charges, however body diode ~3 times slower vs irf540, and i haven't 200V(!!!) schottki yet. Why do you need such power amount? Did you hear 500W at 15" 93db@1W/M? (Mom too?;-) About heatsink, actually PCB 110x110mm screwed to the aluminium plate 110x110x12mm, all this is placed into the speaker box closer to the vent port.

Really-no, I have 12" 92db@1w/m 900w RMS 1800w MAX. such as ir2184 should be working well with irfp260 charges So,if I use ir2184 driver & irfp260 i can use your amploiD circuit with my irfp260n, of course also with more powerfull dc-convertor,with no changes in amp? And why did your need bc817/bc807 after driver? can we talk by icq? |
