Default amp6 41hz silent on one channel back up after power cycling

Dear all,

First of all, I hope this is the correct part of the forum for the question.

Some years ago I build a amp6 kit from 41Hz. It is presently used with a set of home-build speakers and I like the way it sounds but have a problem with one of the channels. It will quite often go silent and come back up after power cycling.

Reading the data sheet of TA2020 I don't think there is a one channel protection system, so does any one have an idea of what I should look for trying to track down the problem?

Another small detail, the same channel that goes silent also has some static when moving the volume pot without any input.

All ideas welcome.

best regards

The TA2020 indeed has only one protection for over temperature, over current, under voltage and mute cicuit.
Due to recent public demand, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned on 7:00 to 23:00 weekdays and 9:00 to 2:00 on sa and su. And stay out of the ladies room!
