But i have a feeling that speakers are quieter now, volume is lower i think... Is this normal?

Might be when they used a bit of gain. Have you tried increasing the gain with the P1 switches?

Yes, i tried it now. It is louder, but lower quality. If i get step up converter, i think it will be better.... or no?

If you run into clipping with the 12V supply then possibly yes.

Haha, yes indeed. C6 can also be omitted, forget to mark. Keep the wires close together for best performance. (Per channel)

Strange problem. I havent used amp for few days, so it was not tested long enough after modding.
After few minutes of playing, there is strong popping, distortions, and speakers not playing properly. What can be the problem? I tested with different power sources.

Thats interesting, i removed heatsink. But chip is not hot, it is almost as cold as idle...

No no,you didnt understand me. I have removed heatsink before... When modding.
I havent put it back again, because chip is cold when working.
I will try to put it back on again, but i dont think it is needed. I used it for 3 hours without heatsink before modding,and it worked normally

Then it's a different problem. Distorting sound is a bit uncommon.

Very loud popping, sound skipping - stopping, buzzing, distorting... I have to shut it down to stop it.
I dont know what happened. I will try to remove wires and resolder them tomorrow.
I hope its not broken, i cant wait another month for new amp to arrive...

Good news. I resoldered wires, removed one resistor that i missed last time, reattached heatsink... And everything works well for the last 1.5 hours... Hope it will stay like that

Not sure if this is related or useful, but I took delivery of a KKMoon rev2.0 board.
TDA7492 w/CSR8635 Bluetooth and it had a terrible 'digital' noise/hiss when Bluetooth was connected but not playing/low volume.

Soldering a short piece of copper cable (2inch or so) to the Bluetooth antenna sorted it out and reduced the noise to almost imperceptible levels. (best result was found by attaching the wire to the antenna at the nearest point to the edge of the board.

Follow up question... Why does this work?
