Which model of amplifier? Maybe you are triggering a protection circuit.

This is not ClassD.

What to check?

What is the output voltage in this situation on channel 1 and 2. Is there dummy load on channel 1?

This sentence has almost no meaning. Try to write and think logical. And try to be specific. This question is toooo general. And not in the right place.

You can get distortion for many reasons.
