I'm going to resurrect a 12 inch 4 ohm ported sub and I'm thinking about this combo. There seem to be plenty a positive opinions on these but most of the threads are fairly old. Apparently they have the connexelectronic 48V supplies in stock in Oregon but the amp must come from China I guess. Anyone care to talk me out of this setup or offer advise on gotcha's, mods or additional requirements. The old plate amp was a switcher and I guess these are plenty adequate for a sub. I could probably do with a little higher power amp, but this one seems to be a good choice for a hack DIYer that mostly just wants to plug and pray. My test equipment is limited to an old Fluke Scopemeter 92 and a DMM. Should I be using the Meanwell supply?
