Default Which 2.1 TPA3116D2 to go for?

Looking for a TPA3116D2 to play with, I have access to a few, some with OP amps, some with caps, ... it can be hard to navigate through the lot and quite easy to get lost!

Don't have much experience with class D amps, so turning to the "pros"

Here's a short list of some of the 2.1 boards available, in 50W+50W, +100W.

4th only with short speakerwires, then probably most interesting one

This one? Short speaker wires? Meaning not a long run between the amp and the speakers? I may need about 2 meters of cable between amp and speaker.

I believe TI specifies ferrite bead filter is within FCC (how is radiolaw where you live?) with twisted speakerwires till 1.5 or 2 meters. In Japan it is probably not legal, very strict laws there This board has FB on output, so no peaking outputfilter with any speakerload, also less distortion and better efficiency?? probably, if chip isn't tempted to become a radiotransmitter

Couldn't you simply put it in a metal case?

But cables have less resistance than thin copper layer on the PCB I guess (?)

Yes maybe when you keep speakers and all wires within case too. In Japan would say: only allowed for laboratory usage

Are there any boards allowing an adjustable crossover?

Most of those boards just let you adjust sub output volume and mains L/R output volume, then overall volume. Meaning the full range of frequencies are sent to both mains and sub lines.

Well, measuring the TPA3132D2 (Simililar to the 3116/3118) with only fb-filters transmits some "noise" but not that much to worry about.

(Measured at PVCC=20V with 8Ohm speaker at 0.7m speaker wire, HMS3010, HZ551 probe at 1m distance)

Amp on, idle:

Those "peaks" are just harmonics of the switching frequency, better seen here:

Amp off:
