Connexelectronic - Amp pinout help? (TA2022SMPS?)

I need pinout definitions for this amp I got from Connexelectronic - they don't have a manual available for it.

I thought it was the TA2022SMPS model (no manual for that either), but it doesn't have an on/off button or a heatsink. http://connexelectronic.com/product_info.php/cPath/39_47/products_id/140

Help would be appreciated in either the pinout or identification of what model this amp is.

While I don't have direct experience w this particular amp, I've worked with earlier version of TA2022 from Connexelectronics before. My guess is:

1) the red yellow black are input. Red is right, yellow is left, black is ground.
2) the green block is main in (AC1, GRND, AC2). Not sure about the order, but the grnd is usually short with the 0v point on the main caps
3) the output is +- -+. You have to experiment to see which one is right or left.

Anyway, those are my guesses.

Good luck

What time it was? Date and Hour, more precisely so I can check and reply.

Tried contacting via email on 5/28/2013 ~ 9:30pm pst. Tried contacting via website a few times since then, most recently 2/4 ~ 10:00am pst.

Appreciate the attention! Thanks so much! Would love some documentation - really wondering if I need to worry about heat dissipation since my model doesn't have a heatsink.

Thanks!

I received only two emails asking for manual. One last night ~ 3 AM my time, just one hour before complaining on the forum. and one at the end of May. No other emails received since may/june when the board was purchased and the manual was sent by mail in 30 may. pls check your mails. In my sent folder appears to be sent.
the latest version manual can downloaded from here: http://www.connexelectronic.com/documents/TA2022SMPS.pdf if the link at the bottom of the page is too obscure or doesn't appear for whatever reason.

Little feisty are we? I checked through my mail at the end of May, I didn't receive a manual via email or mail. I can't track my other website submissions since it doesn't give me a send receipt when I use the online forum. Didn't mean for you to take it as an attack of any sort.

Now that that is out of the way - thank you for the manual. I'll read through it. I'm thoroughly enjoying the other module I ordered - TDA8920SMPS. You're totally right, I should have looked more closely on the webpage - you may want to re-word it. It says - "For more information, please visit this products webpage." I figured I was already on the products "webpage" and was looking for a "manual".

As far as the TA2022SMPS - Was there a revision that added a heatsink? Should I look into adding a heatsink to my model before use?

Thanks!

If the performance of the other Connexelectronic amps are any indication, the performance is anything but cheap. I love the other one I have up and running (TDA8920SMPS), it's still sitting on my desk bare since I can't stop listening to it long enough to put it in an enclosure.

Yes, TA2022 MUST use a heatsink, although it has thermal protection, can't rely on it to run it without heatsink. any heatsink which will have a thermal resistance of 7-8*/W or lower can be used. But for this particular version which you have, TA2022SMPS 1.2 the side of the enclosure can be used as a heatsink provided that is large enough to keep the TA2022 IC at a temperature below 85-90*C or 180-200F. Don't forget to add thermal compound.

I've had one of Cristi's TDA8950THSMPS which is the higher power version of the 8920.
It's been over 2 years now and still going strong! 😀
