I'm considering building a new amplifier for my system, and maybe changing my Behringer CX2310 crossover for a MiniDSP 8x8.
I need at least
2x80W @ 8 ohm
2x 400W @ 4 ohm
1x 600W @ 8 ohm
This is the modules and SMPS' I have looked at:
2x UCD180HG with SMPS400A180
2x UCD400HG with SMPS1200A400
1x UCD2K with SMPS3K
Is it easy to set up this and build it in one cabinet without using any fans? Is it difficult to implement an LCD screen, remote volume control and source switch and the possibility to see source and volume on the LCD screen?
Is there any better solutions for me? I really want to assemble an amplifier myself, so I can learn and customize it as I want.
