Is it worth to spend time and money ?

Why you are hell bent on wasting your money, firstly it was trying class-H on Quasi's mosfet amp, now this?

Better build some UCD type replica or follow Choco's thread, if you are so keen to develop anything.

I asked myself the same question since I have not seen any designs derived from the IR design notes.

The ref design comes with everything including pcb layouts so you shouldnt be able to go wrong.

I jumped into my own design based on app note for 2092 and ended up with a mess.
Decoupling is vital and so is pcb layout.

if you do the same way it works ok.But be carefull if you want to modifying anything , mainly pcb .

This means better use IRS3000 UCD or AUD600 or similar...?

i can´t tell you if it´s better or not than irs3000ucd ot aud600 , because i dont have them to compare .But it has already a year working without any failure.The sound is very good, good bass, but ,since it is pre feedback, all dependence of filter quality is a reality.
Had to make three different pcb to work without protection hiccup.
