I scoured the forum a bit and I haven't really seen people complaining too much about sure electronics. I'd really want some feedback from people who have been around.
I want to build a small system to power my speakers (obvious), and was wondering if using their boards as well as a meanwell power supply is a good choice. Parts: Amp - 2 X 100Watt @4Ω TK2050 Class D Audio Amplifier Board Link PS - 15V 7A 100W AC/DC Switching Power Supply Link I chose the 15V 7A PS because my speakers are rated for 50W peak at 4ohm and I don't want to blow. I chose the TK2050 because I hear it's pretty nice. Do you guys have any alternate sources that are comparable in price but possible better quality, or am I doing alright? I can do mod as required: PS filtering, capacitor swaps, thermal paste on the heatsink, fan relocation, etc. I have a decent electronics background so I am confident in playing around with this stuff (plus I have the motivation to play with it too). Thanks! Martin |

Here is a recent post on Sure amps. Perhaps do a search for others.
Sure Electronics 2 x 250 watt Class D Amplifier I am kind of the anti-christ around here: the extent of my "DIY" this year has been to buy Behringer amps (NU3000) and run them without the fan (completely removed). Works fine. Minimal DIY required.

Thanks for the post. I wanna be a little more DIY. I have searched through the forum but nothing really concrete about people being overly excited. I did find that through Partsexpress people have reviewed these boards and find that people are generally very please with them (Linky!).
They even review the 2X250W Board. I know it's only one review but many people can start filling those reviews out to give a better knowledge base of how they feel. |

I am an Ebay lurker. Months ago, I posted here something like "Behringer NU3000 cheaper than DIY?" apparently not always. For example, you can buy a NU1000 for around $170 (USA). Comparable DIY stuff from Sure seems to be about 1/2 that cost. Of course, with Behringer you get a warranty. And a box. But no DIY fun.

Some measurements on the sure class d amps:
Trevor Marshall - Class D Audio Amplifier Design - TDA7498 Output filters QA400 Measurements on SURE 2x50W TDA7492 Class D Amplifier - QuantAsylum Home Page Some on DIY have also noted the output stage might not be optimal (see first link above). |

But better made and include decent PSU's Also need little if any modding. So final costs are ..far... below your current path. |
