Thump on TA2020
Recently I put together an Arjen Helder ta2020 with great result. It plays beautifull and no thump on or off.
But I could not help myself and put in a pair off Russian oil input caps (2 mfd) and a Dact CT2 for volume control. Now I have a huge thump when switching the amp on, after that it plays beautiful. When I measure it there is as much as 200mv dc at startup which goes back to almost zero in half a minute or so. Adjusting the offset does not help to eliminate the thump.
