Default Adjusting the Highs of a Class D Amp

A question for those who build their own class d amps. Is there a way, other than changing the input cap and output filter, to adjust the frequency response of a class d amp? I have several class d boards and they all sound different. The one I like best still has a persistent brightness, between about 5KHz and 10KHz.

Thanks
James

The output filter will have an effect too.

James,

We'd be interested to know what modules you've tried and your experiences with them.
