TAS, TPA, or max?
Hi guys, i got some samples from TI and maxim, TAS5611, TPA3106D1 and MAX9709/04
I want build a pc amplifier, about 50w, i just tried the TPA whit a board that i found here in the forums, but it didint work properly. NOw i got a dilemma, what i build? i want a hi fi amp but idk who of these are better. Any help guys? |
TPA is easier but TAS is more powerful. TAS requires two power supplies (PVDD and VDD) whereas the TPA only needs one. You're going to need a hot air rework station or something along those lines to attach the TPA's thermal pad to the PCB though.
You say you're making amplifiers for PC speakers? |
Yes, for pc speakers, more than power i want quality but i think both are same.
I got a hot air rework station, its a portable one but it works in this case. I already try to get ework the TPA whit no results, lot of distorsion and sometime dead silence. Thats why i tend to the TAS, i want to use this pcb diysmps Unless u guys got another pcb for the TPA. |
