Hi, i have an old 10 years plus amp that is slightly faulty and and thinking of replacing it with a more modern one. The Denon is 100 watts rms but i never really use even a quarter of that. I have a pair of JPW mini monitors that are old but sound really nice and i'd like to keep them, they are 6 ohms with, i think 87db sensitivity and 70 watts max rating.
I've been browsing the class d forum and i've noticed some of the tda2020 based amps with around 20 watts per channel. All im after is one that sounds as good or better than my old Denon. I prefer detailed quality sound rather than power, also i'd prefer a kit or a good perf board layout if it was cheaper, but judging by the prices of these things i may just buy a built one. |
