* Bump *
Just ordered one of these arriving tomorrow . Was going to start another thread asking if anyone knows if the chip is genuine NOS or a copy ?
The Lapais used to have " made in Korea " Tripath branded chips which i would guess were genuine as Tripath switched production to there under licence before they went bust.
Newer versions no longer have this but a chinese brand name on the chips.
Anyone had a look at the Topping 's ?
If it's not broken let's fix it until it is

I've bought this:
WA 205 TK2050 / T class digital amplifier power 50W + 50W-in Amplifier from Consumer Electronics on | Alibaba Group

I'm happy with it. Even powered by a cheap 24V 2.5A SMPS it produces a nice and clean sound. I'm working now on a linear power supply for it. 24V 8A, and I expect considerable improvement of sound

The Topping i ordered from Amazon arrived with huge chunks of metal missing from the casework due to the dumb seller discarding the foam lined manufacturers box and sending it in a thin plastic bag with zero protection .
I gave it a quick listen before sending back and to be honest wasn't at all impressed flat dull and uninvolving.
Not at all what i was expecting from my previous experience of Tripath based amps.
I'm reserving judgement at the moment though as i would imagine it took quite a battering in transit with resultant damage internally .
If it's not broken let's fix it until it is
