please i don't know anything about mechanical engineering but I would like to build a car like those one Accueil - site officiel Maserati France can you help me?
Seriously as said by pacific blue you need to study first, because yet it seems you have no clue how to do anything! I am currently thinking about building a class D amp by myself inspired by some international rectifier provided design + a FPGA for signal processing (as I know best FPGA than DSP or µC) but for those who believe is not possible to make an amplifier without DAC and think it is only marketing ******** they just don't know that class D is all about converting digital signal to analog without DAC but using PWM modulation. |

a) Do you want to have such a system? b) Do you want to build such a system? c) Are you passionate to learn how to design such a system? Answers: a) Just buy it. b) Buy five of it, build one copy. Or check with core audio for a KIT. c) Stop working and spend 5-6 years on learning theory and practise of general electronics, digital signal processing and switch mode power systems + spend massive money on equipment and components. |

Free software crossovers are available on the Net. Of course he does. He wants to sell that stuff for a lot of money.

This sub-forum is all about analog chip amplifiers, nothing digital here.
I just noticed that in my post #17, I was confused about what sub-forum this was.

That's a good starting point
![]() Class D amps components with digital inputs are becoming available from multiple manufacturers. At least Diodes (Zetex), TI and Infineon do have such. In detail the appoaches differ pretty much. As far as I see the TI approach is to use a PWM processor that feeds their digital power amplifier stages. Digital Input Class-D Power Audio Amplifier with DSP - Infineon Technologies PWM Processor from Texas Instruments http://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&...6DhBkoFuqv3PUg To get components you will need a combination of checking with the manufacturers directly and/or distributors, shops. An extremely large component portfolio can be found at Electronic Components Distributor | DigiKey Corp. | US Home Page - if you are rich and don't mind extra charge for the customs fees + high shipping cost. The design itself must come from yourself/friends and application notes, because only very few people here will have a working design on hand. And those who have, most likely won't release here now. May be in 5 years, when it has established as standard technology. Most likely some digital natives here will support you, if you show your design and come up with detailed questions. It might also be worth to search for amplifier modules with digital inputs and digital PWM processing that can handle the signals from sound streamers like the squeeze box or similar and digital outputs from CD players. |

The easy way
buy the whole stack from Home | miniDSP. Now you have 2 or 4 channel direct digital emplification and 4 channel DSP crossover. Take a cheap nvidia ion based motherboard (mediacenter mobo) and a SSD disk and you are up and running. That is kind of what I have except for the SSD. For more power and a bit more complex, look at TI evm boards like this TAS5631DKD2 Evaluation Module - TAS5631DKD2EVM - TI Tool Folder Or a readymade product, just add a PC Wholesale DSP+CLASS D AMP+SMPS 2.1 OR THREE WAY HI FI AMP WITH ANALOG/SPDIF/USB SOURCE SELECTOR Last edited by Kjeldsen; 11th April 2012 at 12:03 PM. |
