Hi,
This may seem like a stupid question, but..... Are there any boards/kits/schematics out there for single channel amps in the 10-15 watt range? I am engaged in an ongoing project to convert my entire library to FLAC, to stream wirelessly with AirPlay dierectly to each set-up. As a first step, I am interested in converting a set of speakers to an active configuration, with on-board amps, and am looking for a solution other than running two t-amps with one channel fed to each half of the board. Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed. Thanks, Robert |

Glad you asked
![]() I'm just about ready to have PCBs fabbed for something in that field. It uses the TI TAS5727 chip in PBTL, meaning 15W into 4Ohm @12V single supply 38W into 4Ohm @18V single supply The TAS5727 has digital input (i2S), soft limiter and a programmable DSP, interesting for speaker cabinet equalization etc. See here: Speaker Amplifier and Modulator - Mid/High-Power Amplifier - TAS5727 - TI.com The board is meant to be used for distributed audio systems. At higher supply voltages it can even serve a subwoofer IMO. Here is a PCB render. If you're interested, I can have a few more built. -E
