Default new 2012 Sure Tripath boards, where are the moddable caps?

Hi all

I have just received my two sure Tripath TA 2024 boards. I was heating up my soldering iron to do some modding when I noticed that lay out has changed. Being quite new to all this, I am pretty confused now what to do. There are two mods I would like to do:

1. replace the input caps as described here
2. remove the low pass filter as described here

I just have troubles identifying them on the boards. Here is a picture of the old layout (top) with the caps that according to the mods should be removed / replaced. Below that a picture of the new board, spot the difference.

So what to replace / remove? Could it be that they removed the LPF them selves (since they have also added little potmeters for the dc offset, nice improvement)?

Your input is highly appreciated.

PS would these be nice caps for the input caps?

I don't own one of these boards but by the image I can pretty much agree with you on C30 and C22 as input caps.

You can use that panasonic but I think with 4.7uF you will end up with a BIG pop up noise at the power on. For EUR 3,00 I would try to get some better quality input caps. There is mundorf mcap, Solen fastcaps, jantzen, dynaudio... You are in the europe, cmon. Mundorf 2.2uF

Tnx, will look into those... it does look like they skipped the whole LPF in the new board doesn't it?
