Default Topping TP30 (Tripath) with Battery & Automatic Charger

I'm going to get a Topping TP30 amp. Actually, I ordered one from China but it never came, so I have to look for a better source.

I've already got a pair of 200 AH golf cart batteries wired for 12V hooked up to a 30A Samlex automatic charger that I use as a UPS.

Could I run the TP30 amp off the batteries with the automatic charger? Or would the voltage variance with the charger cause any problems?

What do other people running the Tripaths off batteries do about charging? Do they keep a charger hooked up all the time, or only in-between listening?

Thanks.

Buy a much smaller charger, or a 10-15W solar panel. The amp only uses about 350mA at full power output so you got 23 days playing time on that battery, at max volume 24/7. So all you need is a tiny trickle charger to keep it topped off between listening sessions.

Thanks. I ended up just ordering one from Amazon/Parts Express. It's more expensive but at least I have a good chance of actually receiving it. I paid via paypal for the first one from China, so I was able to get a refund.

I already use the batteries and charger as a UPS for my computer system, too, so it would be doing double duty. But it sounds like it might be too risky without a DC-DC voltage regulator.

I would strongly recommend in your case to charge the battery full and then disconnect from charger. 200 Ah battery and 30 Ampere charger sounds to me needless to go a risk because you easily can listen weeks with one charge cycle. After some days operation I would just check up battery voltage without load. Under 12,2 V I would recharge full again.
