needing help with alpine V12 MRD-M500 amp repair

hi my name is Jason angel im new hear to the forum and im wondering if any one can help me with my alpine V12 MRD-M500 amp im certified in digital circuits and have a degree in electronics engineering so im sure i can handle the issue i just need to know ware to start the problem is it is coming up with and (( E-3 )) error code on the display and i can not get past that which the code means it got overloaded with to much current and what happened was my friend decided to change the speaker box to see how his sounded on my amp and he just unhooked the speaker wires while the system was still playing at a low volume but when he did the wire touched and sparked just one small spark and since then its been showing the error so if their is any chance any one could help me with this i would really appreciate it
