I need some ideas or some scheme of self amplifier that delivers about 100W rms at 2 ohm into 2 channel L and R (100w +100 w) in class d if possible. The voltage in my car it's 12V at car engine off, while 14V when engine is on.
Greeting to everithink and thanks. |

Hi. I'm no expert on car audio and suggest you ask your question in the car audio forum here, but basically you can't do it. You can't get 100W into 2 ohms from 12V supply rails with any amplifier, essentially you need to choose from any one of the following solutions:
1) Step up the voltage with a DC/DC voltage converter to something like 36V. This will let you run any suitable amplifier to produce the sort of power levels you are looking for. 2) Use more efficient speakers to get the desired sound levels without needing so much power. 3) Use even lower resistance (and/or parallelled) speakers than 2 ohm to suck even more amps (and hence power) from the 12V rails. This will require a rather robust amp ![]() 4) Listen quieter and save your ears. Any of those should work ... |
