4 year old amp intermittent cutting in and out. Wanted to take a peak inside hoping maybe just a cold solder joint or something obvious.

Removed 4 front screws and 4 back screws + the one holding the rca jacks.

That's as far I dare go without prying. Wondering if the knobs have to come off, maybe revealing lock nuts, but afraid to pull too hard on them. No set screws.

Anyone ever taken one of these apart?

Yes. Also, you don't need to remove the screw holding the RCA jacks.

The potentiometer's shaft used is this type (flat or D shaped), you need to loosen a screw on the knob itself before it can come off the shaft.

Now, where to begin. There's a lot going on in here. Of course the symptoms have yet to surface now that it's apart.
