As the title says really.

And would the T2 be significantly better than an amp based on the TA2020 chip? |

If you are planning to keep your 88db speakers then yes I think the T2 will be significantly better as the TA2020 may struggle to provide sufficient output for typical listening levels. . If you plan on changing to considerably more sensitive speakers and/or listen mainly to non dynamic music at fairly quiet levels then it would just come down to personal preference on SQ.
