I am about to attempt a project of adding airport expess internals to a Topping TP20 amp. I was hoping to power the airport by soldering a few wires to the amp. It requires 5v and 3.3v.
I notice that the ta2020 chip has a few 5V pins. Would it be possible to pull some power from here to run the airport express, or would this cause problems? I have done a bit of searching and reading datatsheets but haven't found the answer. Can somebody shed some light on this? |

I'm thinking now I will get a cheap pico psu from eBay to covert the 12V supply to the 3.3v and 5v required.
I could even use the regulated 5v from the pico psu to supply the 5v pins on the ta2020. |
