Default TPA3122 power and output filter

Hi,

i am working on a TPA 3122 circuit and i'm having problems.
I wanted to try it on a breadboard because i can't make a pcb at this time.

At first it worked quite well, but the output power (subjectively meassured by reached SPL) is nearly the same as a 2,7W SSM2305 (i have an eval board).
Could this be the result of the bad connections on the breadboard?

I tested it without any output filter.
When i connect the filter (exactly as described in the datasheet) i don't get any output. I figured out that the output stops the same time i connect the output Capacities between the coils and ground.
I use film capacitors and tryed it with electrolytic ones too.

What can i do to get the output filter working and why is the power so low.
(it starts to crackle when i rise the volume)

Thanks for help and hello to everyone on this forum.
Sebastian

Problem solved:

I built it again on a hole pattern board.
The low output power was due to the bad contacts on the breadboard.
Now the output power is quite good. (both BTL and Stereo mode)

Maybe before producing a PCB the layout should be reconsidered.

This is my first Class D amp and im impressed how effectively it works.

I'm planing on a multichannel Board for 8 Channels.
It will be used to power a speaker array of eg. 8x8 small speakers.
Do you have some advice on the power supply?
How much power is needed if i use 8 of these amps?

Regards
Sebastian
